Mark Borchardt is an independent filmmaker and actor, born on 20th August 1966 in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, USA. He is best known to public for being the subject of the 1999 documentary “American Movie: The Making of Northwestern”, which depicts three years of his effort in shooting and editing the horror film “Coven” (1997).

This launched Borchardt among the popular faces of television and film, and he has since made numerous appearances in shows such as “Late Show with David Letterman”, for whom he served as his election correspondent in 2000.
