Gregory Everett “Greg” Proops is an actor, stand-up comedian and TV host, born on 3rd October 1959 in Phoenix, Arizona USA, best known for his work as a comedian on the US and UK versions of TV’s “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”. His other notable works include performing on “Green Screen Show”, and playing Max Madigan in the Nickelodeon sitcom “True Jackson, VP”.

During his career, Proops has performed his stand-up acts throughout the world, and some of his other notable credits include hosting “Space Cadets”, and appearances on BBC2’s “Mock the Week”. Also, he voiced the character Fode in “Star Wars: Episode I- The Phantom Menace”, and later worked with the “Expanded Universe”, and reprised his role as Fode in “Star Wars Episode I: Racer” video game, as well as guest-starring in two episodes of the “Star Wars: The Cione Wars” animated series.
Proops also has a radio career, hosting a weekly radio program and talk show at the “Largo” in Hollywood, and also played the title role in BBC Radio 4’s series “Seymour the Fractal Cat”.
In May 2015, Greg released a non-fiction book “The Smartest Book in the World” which is based in part on his weekly podcast “The Smartest Man in the World”.
