Gregory Everett “Greg” Proops is an actor, stand-up comedian and TV host, born on 3rd October 1959 in Phoenix, Arizona USA, best known for his work as a comedian on the US and UK versions of TV’s “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”. His other notable works include performing on “Green Screen Show”, and playing Max Madigan in the Nickelodeon sitcom “True Jackson, VP”.

Have you ever wondered how rich Greg Proops is? According to sources, it has been estimated that Greg Proops’ overall net worth is $4 million, acquired through a fruitful acting career, mostly as a comedian. He has appeared in various TV productions, and since he is still active in the entertainment industry, his net worth continues to grow.

Although born in Phoenix, Arizona, Greg was raised in San Carlos, California, a suburb of San Francisco, where he attended San Carlos High School. He later enrolled at the College of San Mateo, and during his schooling founded the comedy duo “Proops & Brakeman”. Proops later took courses in acting and improvisation at San Francisco State University, although he never graduated. After college, Greg joined an improvisation group with Mike McShane, and both were eventually put on “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”, and lived in London for four years while doing the show. He then appeared in every episode of the “Drew Carey’s Green Screen Show”, which was influenced by “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”. His net worth was well established.

Proops was featured in the 2011 new series “Drew Carey’s Improv-A-Ganza”, and did a week on Royal Caribbean’s liner Freedom of the Seas with the Lewis Black Comedy Cruise Tour the same year, then in July 2012, Greg started appearing in “Trust Us with Your Life”, a new improvisation show on ABC.

During his career, Proops has performed his stand-up acts throughout the world, and some of his other notable credits include hosting “Space Cadets”, and appearances on BBC2’s “Mock the Week”. Apart from his stand up acts, Greg has taken part in various films and TV shows, such as the miniseries “Stripperella” and “The Nightmare Before Christmas”. Also, he voiced the character Fode in “Star Wars: Episode I- The Phantom Menace”, and later worked with the “Expanded Universe”, and reprised his role as Fode in “Star Wars Episode I: Racer” video game, as well as guest-starring in two episodes of the “Star Wars: The Cione Wars” animated series.

Proops also has a radio career, hosting a weekly radio program and talk show at the “Largo” in Hollywood, and also played the title role in BBC Radio 4’s series “Seymour the Fractal Cat”.

In May 2015, Greg released a non-fiction book “The Smartest Book in the World” which is based in part on his weekly podcast “The Smartest Man in the World”.

When it comes to his personal life, Greg Proops has been married to artist Jennifer Canaga since 1990, and the couple divide their time between residences in Los Angeles and London.

  • People in England drink like someone is going to take it away from them.
