Dinah Beth Manoff Wiki Biography

Dinah Beth Manoff was born on 25 January 1958, in New York City, USA, and is an actress and television director, known for her appearances in various television series as well as films, during 1975 until 2009, but still makes occasional appearances. All of her efforts helped put her net worth to where it is today.

How rich is Dinah Manoff? As of mid-2017, sources estimate a net worth that is at $1.5 million, mostly earned through a successful career as an actress. Some of the projects she was a part of include “Empty Nest”, “Soap”, and “The Amati Girls”. As she intermittently continues her career, it is expected that her wealth will also likely continue to increase.

Dinah grew up in New York and Malibu, California. She attended Santa Monica High School, and after matriculating, then studied at the Actors Studio. One of her first projects came in the 1970s in the independent film “Everybody Rides the Carousel” for which she provided her voice. In 1976, she made her first television debut in a production of “The Stronger”, then made a guest appearance in “Welcome Back, Kotter” and followed it up with an appearance in “Visions”. The following year, she had a cameo in the television movie “Raid on Entebbe”, and then had one of her most notable roles in the sitcom “Soap” in which she played Elaine Dallas. She remained with the show for a year, and then made her film debut in the movie version of “Grease”.

More opportunities opened up for Manoff, and her net worth started to increase quickly. In 1980, she made her Broadway debut in the play “I Ought to Be in Pictures”, for which she won a Tony Award and a Theatre World Award, reprising her role in the film version two years later. She also became a part of the Oscar-winning film “Ordinary People”. In 1985, Manoff portrayed Ellie Greenwich in the Broadway musical “Leader of the Pack”, and three years later became the first character to be killed by the possessed doll Chucky in “Child’s Play”. After her appearance there, she held one of her longest roles in the sitcom “Empty Nest”, playing Carol Weston for seven years, appearing in every episode of the series while doing minor roles in films.

In 1990, Dinah then made an appearance in “Welcome Home, Roxy Carmichael” which starred Winona Ryder, after which she focused on television work, appearing in television movies such as “Maid for Each Other”, “Touched by an Angel”, “George & Leo” and “Cybill”, which all continued to build her net worth. In 1999, she made a guest appearance in the series “Sabrina, the Teenage Witch”, and the following year appeared in the television movie “The Lost Child”, before returning to feature films in “The Amati Girls”. In 2001, she then had the projects “State of Grace” and “Zigs”, before in 2004 participating in the documentary “Happy Birthday Oscar Wilde”, before taking a brief hiatus from acting.

A few of her latest projects include the film “Bart Got a Room” which was released in 2009. She also appeared at the 2010 Seattle International Film Festival after the second release of “Grease”.

For her personal life, it is known that Manoff married designer Jean-Marc Joubert in 1980 and their marriage lasted for five years before a divorce. In 1997 she married motivational speaker Arthur Martell. They had three children, however, their eldest passed away due to a car accident in early 2017.
