Born Jason Ramond Maxwell on the 26th March 1972 in Lewisburg, Tennessee USA, he is a retired baseball infielder, who played for the Chicago Cubs (1998), and Minnesota Twins (2000-2001) in Major League Baseball (MLB) before deciding to retire.

Jason went to Marshall County High School, located in his hometown, where he started playing baseball, and after matriculation he enrolled at Middle Tennessee State University, where he continued his baseball career. After few successful years in college, Jason was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 74th round of the 1993 MLB Draft. However, he spent five seasons in the minor leagues, before making MLB debut in 1998. He played in just seven games in his rookie season, and after his contract expired that year, the Cubs decided not to re-sign him.

Instead, he became a free agent and waited a year to be offered a new contract, when the American League’s Minnesota Twins offered him a two year contract, which increased his wealth. He played in 64 games for the Twins in his first season with the team, batting .243 and had 11 RBI. He remained in the team the following season, and played in 39 games, posting 10 RBI and a .191 batting average. He was released out of his contract and once again became a free agent.

Jason didn’t have any luck finding an MLB franchise that wanted him in the first team, but played for the minor league affiliates of the Texas Rangers, Cincinnati Reds and the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, before officially retiring from baseball in 2004.

Following his retirement from playing baseball, Jason took a job as a high school team baseball coach at Ensworth High School, where he still serves in the position, which has also contributed to his wealth.
