Gloria Gaynor is a popular singer, born as Gloria Fowles on 7th September 1949 in Newark, New Jersey, USA. She is probably best known for her disco hit singles “I Will Survive”, “Never Can Say Goodbye”, “Let Me Know (I Have a Right)” and “I Am What I Am”, which all entered the Hot 100 list during the 1970s and the early ‘80s.

After releasing two more albums of lesser success, Gaynor climbed the pop charts once again with the release of her “Love Tracks” album which contained probably her most popular song to date – “I Will Survive”. The song eventually received a Grammy Award for Best Disco Recording in 1980, and entered the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time list.
