According to sources, it is estimated that the total of Gloria Loring’s net worth, as of early 2017, exceeds the sum of $20 million, acquired through her career in the entertainment industry which has been active since 1961.
Gloria was born into the musical family of Dorothy Ann, who was a singer, and Gerald Lewis Goff, a trumpet player known by his nickname ‘Buzzy’. Her interest in music and singing dates back to the age of 14, when she began performing with a local folk group – Those Four. As a solo artist, Gloria debuted in 1968 when her studio album “Gloria Loring, Today” was released under the MGM Records label. Through the 1970s she released several singles, and appeared in various TV shows and public events such as “The Carol Burnett Show” as well as the Academy Awards ceremony. All these ventures provided the basis for Gloria Loring’s present day net worth.
In the late 1970s and the early 1980s, Gloria received some recognition as a composer for her work on theme songs for NBC’s sitcom “Diff’rent Strokes” and its spin-off TV series “The Facts of Life”. The breakthrough in her career occurred in 1980 when she was cast for the role of Liz Chandler for “Days of Our Lives”, the daytime soap opera, and continued for the next five years, during which she earned a huge amount of popularity as well as wealth.
In 1986 Gloria had a huge commercial success with her hit single “Friends and Lovers”, which peaked at No. 1 on the Adult Contemporary hit chart. In the course of the next two decades, she occasionally appeared in TV series such as “Burke’s Law”, “Beverly Hills, 90210” and “Renegade”, and also served as a television host for shows “From The Heart” and PBS Holiday Special among plenty of others. In 2003, she released “You Make It Christmas” holiday album, while in 2008 “A Playlist” hit the charts. It is certain that all these achievements have helped Gloria Loring to dramatically increase the total of her revenues by a large margin.
When it comes to her personal life, Gloria has married three times, between 1970 and 1984 to actor Alan Thicke, with whom she has two children, of which both followed their parent’s footsteps – Brennan Ticke is an actor, while Robin Thicke is a popular musician and producer. In 1988, Gloria married actor Christopher Beaumont before they parted ways in 1993, and since 1994, Gloria has been married to art director and producer René Lagler.
