Trick Daddy’s more recent studio work is “Finally Famous: Born a Thug, Still a Thug”, which was released in 2009 to rather positive reviews. Upon its release, the album peaked at #34 on the Billboard 200 music chart, and sold 13,000 copies during its debut week.

Trick Daddy was born in 1973, in Miami, Florida. Trick Daddy made his first appearance on Luther Campbell’s song called “Scarred”, which appeared on his fifth studio album “Uncle Luke”. As a result of the song being a huge success, Trick Daddy received an invitation to join “Slip-n-Slide Records”, where Ted Lucas was a CEO at the time. It was with “Slip-n-Slide Records” that Trick Daddy released his first studio album “Based on a True Story”, which was followed by “www.thug.com”. Trick Daddy joined Atlantic Records in 2000, and that same year came out with his third studio work entitled “Book of Thugs”. Featuring guest appearances from Trina, Mystic, Twista and Buddy Roe, “Book of Thugs” proved to be a major success, as it went on to sell more than 500,000 copies in the United States, which earned it a Gold certification.

Trick Daddy’s biggest commercial success came in 2004 with the release of “Thug Matrimony: Married to the Streets”, which featured the hit single “Let’s Go” with Lil Jon and Twista. Upon its release, the song peaked at #7 on the Billboard 200 music chart, and largely contributed to sales of the album, which has sold more than 910,000 copies.
