Born James Ikechukwu Esomugha on the 25th September 1976, in Liberville, Gabon, he is an actor, best known to the world as David in the action film “Last Flight to Abuja” (2012), and as himself in the comedy film “American Driver” (2017), among many other appearances. His career started in 2001.

Although he studied for a corporative career, he decided to pursue acting, and in 2001 made his professional debut in the film “$1: One Dollar”. Jim is also a well-known philanthropist; he has started the Jim Iyke Foundation for Children with Special Disabilities, while he also supported the Make a Change Campaign in 2012, which is a charity project orchestrated by Christopher Grey and dancehall artist Cécile.
