Michael Carl Bryan was born on 29 April 1978, in Camarillo, California USA, to Kathy, a former tennis player on women’s circuit and a four-time Wimbledon participant, and Wayne Bryan, a lawyer, musician and tennis coach. He is a professional tennis player, best known for being the world number-one doubles player for several years, and with his twin brother Bob Bryan, winning 16 Grand Slam tournaments.
So just how rich is Mike Bryan now? According to sources, Bryan has earned a net worth of over $8 million, as of early 2017. His wealth has been established during his tennis career which began in the late 1990s.
Bryan attended Mesa Union School in Somis, California and Rio Mesa High School in Oxnard, California. He later enrolled at Stanford University on a tennis scholarship. Along with his brother, he began to play tennis when they were only two years old, being taught by their parents. While at Stanford, they played for the school’s team, the Cardinals, in 1997 and 1998, helping them to capture two consecutive NCAA team championships, being ranked No. 1 in collegiate tennis doubles upon their graduation.
After winning their first doubles tournament when they were six years old, the brothers went on to achieve a brilliant junior career, taking more than 100 junior doubles titles together, eventually becoming the most-winning doubles team ever, setting a record by winning their 86th title at the BNP Paribas Open in 2013. Being a member of such a successful team paved Bryan’s way into a remarkable professional career, greatly contributing to his net worth.
The brothers captured their first professional win in 1998, but it wasn’t until 2003 that they reached stardom. Since then, they have achieved such brilliant statistics, which have enabled Bryan to enjoy a sizable wealth. Speaking about their major performances, they have set a 36-18 record in ATP Masters 1000 finals, winning titles at all nine events, being ranked No. 1 ATP doubles teams a record 10 times. They have won the most Davis Cup matches of any team in doubles (26-5), which has been Bryan’s US Davis Cup record for individual doubles wins. The brothers have taken 16 Grand Slam titles in 30 finals, reaching the finals of all four Grand Slam tournaments in 2005, only the second team in the Open Era to achieve so. They are the only team in the Open Era to hold all four Grand Slam titles at simultaneously. By winning the Wimbledon title in 2006, Bryan finished the men’s doubles Career Grand Slam, becoming the 19th individual player to do so, and, along with Bob, the seventh doubles team to achieve that. When they won the Olympic gold medal in 2012, the brothers finished the career Golden Slam, being the only team do achieve so. All this success has added to Bryan’s net worth. The most-winning doubles team, the Bryan brothers have won multiple Olympic medals and more games and tournaments than any other men’s duo, which has made them the most successful tennis pair of all time, having held world number one doubles ranking together for 438 weeks, longer than any other doubles player ever.Aside from tennis, he and his brother have formed The Bryan Bros Band. He plays guitar and drums, and his brother plays keyboards. In 2009 the band released an EP called “Let It Rip” at the US Open, featuring David Baron.
