Robin Ophelia Quivers was born on 8th August 1952, in Pikesville, Maryland, USA. She is an actress, author and radio personality best known for hosting the radio program “The Howard Stern Show” (1981 – present). She started working in the entertainment industry in 1979 and is active up until now.

After graduating from high school, she studied at the University of Maryland where she earned a degree in nursing. At first she worked as a nurse at the Maryland Shock Trauma facility, however, she felt that she could be more useful and entered United States Air Force in 1975, achieving captain’s rank in three years. She was on active duty until 1978, and in the USA Air Force Reserve until 1990.
After finishing full-time service in the USAF, Robin entered the Broadcasting Institute of Maryland. She started working as a news reporter firstly at WIOO radio station, and then moved to WCMB radio. Afterwards, she worked alongside DJ Johnnie Walker at WFBR. Soon, Robin started her own radio program “The Howard Stern Show” (1981 – present): together with producer Gary Dell’Abate, writer Fred Norris and news reporter Robin Quivers they created a very successful radio program, which quickly became very popular and spread all over the USA and even further, being broadcast in 60 media markets in Canada and USA. From 1994 to 2001, the show was the most popular of all the morning radio programs having more than 20 million admirers at a time. However, improper, offensive and sometimes even vulgar material was used on “The Howard Stern Show” for which more than $2.5 million was paid in fines.
The show has had its own equivalent on television since 1994. More, she starred alongside Howard Stern in the feature film “Private Parts” (1997) directed by Betty Thomas.
In 2012, Robin was diagnosed with third stage endometrial cancer. She realised that something was wrong when she could not urinate and needed the emergency help, after which Robin was presented with the results. In order to beat the disease, she went through surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. When she returned to her job, it was reported that the illness had been cured. Quivers is very open while talking about her disease, treatment and the fears that she had experienced.
In her personal life, Robin Quivers was in a long term relationship with her boyfriend Tony from 1995 to 2007, when the couple split up. She then dated comedian Jim Florentine from 2007 to 2008. Currently, she claims to be single. Her residence is located in Manhattan, New York City.
