Born Michael Thomas McCaul on the 14th January 1962, in Dallas, Texas USA, he is a politician, a member of the Republican Party, and best known to the world as the US Representative for Texas’s 10th congressional district since 2005. Also, he has been the Chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security since the start of the 113th Congress.

However, in 1998 he left and assumed a position as a Deputy Attorney General at the Texas Attorney General’s Office. For the next four years, Michael held the position, when he decided to start a career in politics.

In 2004 he campaigned for the spot in the U.S House of Representatives, and won over a number of others competing in the Republican primary for the newly created 10th District. In the first elections – he didn’t even have a Democrat opponent, since it was thought that the district was fully Republican. Then in 2006 he won a second term; this time he was opposed by Michael Badnarik, and Ted Ankrumn, but prolonged his reign to two more years. Michael continued his dominance as in 2010 he won 76% of the votes, and again in 2016, winning his seventh term with 57.3% of the votes.

Also, in 2013 he was elected chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee and has been serving in the position ever since, which also added to his wealth.
