Patrice Wilson Wiki Biography
Patrice “Pato” Wilson is a music producer, songwriter and singer, born on 28th July 1981 in Nigeria. He is the co-founder of ARK Music Factory, which has produced many songs such as “Friday” sung by Rebecca Black. In 2011 he also established the Pato Music World.
Have you ever wondered how rich Patrice Wilson is? According to sources, it has been estimated that Wilson’s net worth is over $2 million, acquired through a versatile career in the music industry, which he started in the mid-2000s. Since he is still very active in the entertainment industry, his net worth continues to grow.
Patrice was born and raised in Nigeria, by a father who was a chemical engineer and a mother who was an Irish-British church minister. He attended Wilson Prep School, a school his mother had established, and then enrolled at Zamani College and Essence International School in Nigeria. His first musical experience was while singing in his mother’s church, and helping out with youth programs at school. Later, while attending school in Europe he began touring as a back-up singer with Malian-Slovak pop star Ibrahim Maiga, through the Czech Republik, Slovakia, Poland and other Eastern Europe countries, which started his net worth rising.
In 1999, Wilson decided to move to the United States, where he then studied at Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington, and did modeling for various brands while trying to promote his own musical career. It was in 2010, that Patrice decided to found ARK Music Factory in partnership with Clarence Jey, a music producer from Australia. Jey left ARK a year later, with Wilson remaining the company’s CEO. However, the two co-authered and co-produced the infamous Rebecca Black song “Friday”, as well as many other songs of numerous other artists. Patrice also appeared in the ABC show “Good Morning America’s” one-week special feature named “One Week to Hit It Big: Pop Star”, in which he was to choose one candidate for the ABC GMA challenge and trying to make a viral star in just one week.
In 2011, Wilson established Pato Music World (PMW) which was later relabeled as PMW Live. In May the following year, he released a sequel to the Rebecca Black song “Friday” which was called “Happy” (or “The H.A.P.P.Y Song”). In November 2012 Wilson produced and wrote a song, later released by Nicole Westbrook, “It’s Thanksgiving” which was then featured in the “Anderson Live” show, on Thanksgiving Day.
Another young artist who has been regularly featured by Patrice is Alison Gold, who released “Chinese Food” song in October 2013, receiving negative comments, as Wilson was accused of cultural insensitivity.
Overall, Wilson’s work has been featured on various networks, including ABC, Fox, BBC, MTV, VH1 and has collaborated and worked with numerous celebrities, producers and managers.
When it comes to his private life, not much is familiar to the public. Wilson married a Spokane-native woman in 2008, and the couple lives in California.
