Amelia Victoria Vega Polanco de Guerra was born on the 7th November 1984, in Santo Domingo, the Dominican Republic, and is a singer, actress and model. Amelia certainly became known when in the middle of 2003, being 18, she became the first Dominican to win the Miss Universe competition, also the youngest to win the competition since 1994. She has been active in the entertainment industry since 2002.
