Lane Monte Kiffin was born on 9 May 1975, in Lincoln, Nebraska USA, and is an American Football coach and former football player, probably best known as the offensive coordinator for the University of Alabama football team. He first came to notice when he coached the Oakland Raiders, as he was the youngest head coach in NFL history; he was also the youngest head coach of a BCS Conference team. During the next season he was fired, and would then become part of the Alabama Crimson Tide as offensive coordinator.

For his personal life, it is known that Lane is the son of Monte Kiffin, a former NFL defensive coordinator. His brother is also a coach and a former college football player. He married Layla in 2004 and they have three children, but in 2016 the couple apparently began divorce proceedings.
