After the divorce of her parents at her age of two, she was raised by her mother under the strong influence of her Jewish ancestry. Rain attended Beverly Hills High School from which she matriculated in 1987. As an actress she debuted right after high school – in 1988 she appeared as Theola June Jones – “T.J.” – in ABC’s sitcom “Head of the Class”. It was followed by an appearances in “Blackbird Fly”, a 1991 short movie, and in one episode of the “Chicago Hope” TV series in 1995. These engagements provided the basis for her net worth.

In her later acting career, she recorded over a dozen acting credits of which the most memorable have been appearances in “Angels!” and “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” movies, both in 2000.

The show’s popularity with audiences has helped Rain Pryor to dramatically increase her overall net worth by a large margin, as it is the main source of her revenues.

Apart from all those mentioned above, Rain Pryor has appeared in several popular TV shows including “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno”, “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson” and “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson”.

Besides her movie and TV career, Rain also appeared in the title role of “The Billie Holiday Story”, as well as Ella Fitzgerald in “Ella, Meet Marilyn” plays.
