Josh Blue Wiki Biography

Josh Blue was born on 27 November 1978, in the Republic of Cameroon, Central Africa, and is a comedian, best known to be the winner of the fourth season of NBC TV’s reality series “Last Comic Standing”. The show aired during 2006, but all of his endeavors have helped put his net worth to where it is today.

How rich is Josh Blue? As of late-2016, sources estimate a net worth that is over $1 million, mostly earned through a career in comedy. His act focuses a lot on self-deprecating humor, mainly about his cerebral palsy, a condition that affects muscle movement. As he continues his career it is expected that his wealth will increase.

Josh was born in Cameroon as his father was on a teaching mission there. The family later moved to Minnesota, and he would attend Como Park Senior High School, from where he matriculated in 1997, and then attended The Evergreen State College, studying creative writing. It was during this period that he started pursuing a career in comedy. While in college, he went back to Africa to volunteer at a zoo in Senegal, and his trip there would eventually become a topic for his comedy acts.

Josh started appearing in open mic events while studying, and found that the crowd reacted well to his self-deprecating style. He started to become known in comedy circles, and would eventually win the Comedy Works New Talent Search Contest in 2002. He then made appearances in Comedy Central’s “Mind of Mencia”, and also won the Royal Flush Comedy Competition during the 2004 Las Vegas Comedy Festival. His net worth was starting to build up at this point.

In 2006, he won in the show “Last Comic Standing”, and would later become the first stand-up comedian to perform on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”; this would lead to more television opportunities, including “Comics Unleashed” and “Live with Regis and Kelly”, and he also made appearances on ABC, Fox, CBS, and MSNBC channels.

In 2009, Blue appearede in the film “Feast III: The Happy Finish”, and a year later was voted as the 13th best comedian in “Comedy Central’s Stand-up Comedy Showdown 2010”. His appearances would continue, and so his net worth would also continue to increase. He was a part of the music video “The Psychoanalyst” by Rose Hill Drive, and was then voted as the 11th best comedian during “Comedy Central’s Stand-up Comedy Showdown 2011”. A few of his latest appearances include “Las Vegas Salute to the Troops 2013” in which he was the opening act, and the sports comedy “108 Stitches”.

For his personal life, interestingly it is known that Blue lives with his ex-wife Yuko Kubota and their two children; they reside in Denver, Colorado. Aside from this, Josh was part of the 2004 US Paralympic soccer team. He also creates paintings and sculptures, even selling them at high prices. He uses his cerebral palsy a lot in comedic acts because he wants to point out that even people with disabilities can make significant impacts. Other comedians have commented that Josh is a very likeable person.
