Howard Kevin Stern is an attorney born on 29th November 1968, in Los Angeles, California USA, and is best known for being a former domestic partner, agent and attorney of model and actress Anna Nicole Smith. He also gained popularity as Smith’s co-star in her 2002-2004 reality TV series “The Anna Nicole Show”.

In 2002, when he became a co-star on “The Anna Nicole Show”, Stern’s law firm was dissolved and he started operating the “Hot Smoochie Lips, Inc.” talent agency, which had Smith as a client. Apart from participating in Smith’s reality show, Stern also took part in “Addicted to Fame”(2012) documentary and “The Tragic Side of Fame”(2011) film. During the years of their relationship, he became Smith’s legal counsel, attorney and eventually partner, making her his only client, which many thought was strange. After the death of Smith’s 20-years old son, whom she left everything to in her 16-page will, Stern was named as the executor of her Estate. Smith died a year later in 2007, and Stern gained custody of Smith’s younger child, daughter Dannielynn. However, after taking a DNA test which proved he wasn’t the girl’s father, Smith agreed to give sole custody to the girl’s biological father.

In March 2009, Howard was charged for committing the crimes of administering and dispensing substances to an addict, and the trial began in August the following year. Although he pleaded not guilty, then-California Attorney General Jerry Brown, charged him with illegally furnishing medications to Smith. In October 2010, Stern was found guilty on two counts of felony conspiracy, but the charges were dismissed in January 2011, and again, finally in 2015.

Since Smith’s death, Howard has been on the defensive in a herd of media attention, as well as lawsuits, dealing with her remains, the estate she had left and accusations of aiding her death, of which he has been completely cleared. This attention has continued to the present day, but in spite of this, Stern has managed to remain on the list of the 10 richest lawyers, published by “Gazette Review”.
