They have been singing together sharing their joys and sorrows as well as managed to develop their own harmony which allowed them to stand out in a crowd. In 1989, the trio signed with home plate SBK Records. The group is also known for being the daughters of famous musicians; the Wilsons of Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys, and of John Phillips and Michelle Phillips from The Mamas & The Papas. In 1990, the album bearing their sold over 10 million copies worldwide, and three singles became the number one on the Billboard Hot 100, making it the top seller among female groups of time. In 1993, Chynna left the band to start a solo career, and released her first solo album “Naked And Sacred” with the musical house EMI in 1995; the song “I Live for You” from the album was used in the film “Striptease” (1996).
