Have you ever wondered how rich Gary Allan is as of early 2017? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Allan’s net worth is as high as $10 million, earned through his successful career in the entertainment industry, which began in the early 1990s.
Gary is the son of Harley and Mary Herzbeg; at an early age he was introduced to music since his father played in honky-tonk bars. At the age of 13 Gary started participating with his father, and soon received a recording deal, however, he decided to finish his education before pursuing further his career in music. He went to La Serna High School in Whittier, California, and after matriculation continued to play in clubs, starting his own band Honky Tonk Wranglers and becoming quite popular in local bars and venues, and soon they were sought by bigger clubs, however, Gary declined as he would need to change his set list and remove some of the old country classics.
In 1993 he met producer and songwriter Byron Hill, and the two started working together, recording a demo tape, but which didn’t see the light of day for another three years. During that time, Gary worked as a car salesman, and left that demo tape in the glove box in one of the cars he sold to a wealthy couple, who after listening to the tape sent him $12,000. Gary used that money to book a studio and again collaborate with Byron Hill; he was soon signed to Decca Records Nashville, and in 1996 he released his first album, entitled “Used Heart for Sale”. The album reached No. 20 on the US Country chart and achieved gold status, increasing Gary’s net worth and encouraging him to continue to make music. Two years later his second album came out, entitled “It Would Be You”, which turned out to be less successful, but his career reached a whole new level with his third album “Smoke Rings in the Dark” (1999), which achieved platinum status and reached No. 9 on the US Country chart. It was also his first album released through MCA Nashville records. His net worth was growing steadily.
His next album – “Alright Guy” – came out in 2001, and peaked at No. 4 on the US Country chart, and also achieved platinum status. He continued to dominate the country scene during the early 2000s with the albums “See If I Care” (2003) and “Tough All Over” (2005), which became his first No. 1 album. In 2007 another album came out; entitled “Living Hard” it reached No. 3 on the US Country and Billboard 200 chart. Gary has continued successfully in the current decade, releasing “Get Off on the Pain” (2010), and “Set You Free” (2013), which became his second No. 1 album, and it also topped the Billboard 200 chart. His net worth continues to rise.
