Aaron Carter Wiki Biography
Aaron Charles Carter was born on 7 December 1987, in Tampa, Florida USA. He rose to prominence as a pop singer, however, he has also proven to be a great music producer, song writer, dancer and even an actor. Since 2014, Aaron Carter has changed his music style and recorded a hip hop single which is sold as a download unit on the singer’s webpage. Carter has more than 18 years of experience on the stage as he began his career being only 10 years old.
So just how rich is Aaron Carter? Sources estimate that Aaron Carter’s net worth is as much as $17 million, his wealth having been mainly accumulated through his various involvements in the music industry, though he has lots of engagements. Aaron has had financial ups and downs during his career, particularly in 2013 when he filed for bankruptcy owing over $3.5 million in back taxes to the USA government. However, he managed to put an end to this matter, and in 2014 his credit was positive.
Aaron Carter was raised in a big family with four siblings. His elder brother Nick became a member of the famous Backstreet Boys band, and his twin sister Angel is a model. Carter’s success story begins with the band “Dead End”, which he became involved with when only seven years old. After several years, the opinions of Aaron and the rest of the band diverged and they parted never to play again. In 1997, he released his first self-titled album under the label Edel, which conquered North American and European continents as it has been certified gold in Canada, Germany, Norway, Spain and Denmark as well as appeared in various positions on the European and American music charts. The album increased Aaron Carter’s net worth considerably, though he apparently wasted his money buying luxuries.
Aaron then appeared in a number of television series, including such popular ones as “Figure It Out”, “Lizzie McGuire”, “Sabrina, the Teenage Witch”, “48 Hours Mystery” and “7th Heaven” which caused his popularity to blossom, as well as increasing his wealth. Importantly, his career as a singer also kept pace, as his second album “Aaron’s Party” – with the multi-million sales single “Come Get It” – was certified three times platinum in the USA, and gold in Canada, earning him more wealth.
Furthermore, Aaron Carter had roles in several feature films including “Fat Albert” (2004) directed by Joel Zwick, “Popstar” (2005) directed by Richard Gabai, “Supercross” (2005) directed by Steve Boyum and several others. Currently, he is working on the upcoming film “College Fright Night”.
Interestingly, Aaron Carter and his siblings starred in the reality TV show, “House of Carters”, which ran in October–November 2006 on E!. Aaron also took part in the 9th season of the TV series “Dancing with the Stars” in 2009, placing 5th.
Aaron Carter was in an apparently stormy relationship with his ex-girlfriend, actress and singer Hilary Duff. Aaron was then apparently engaged to Kari Ann Peniche, but is currently single. As with many celebrities, aside from tax problems mentioned, Aaron was caught in possession of marijuana, and has received fines for speeding.
