Nick Lachey Wiki Biography
Nicholas Scott Lachey, known simply as Nick Lachey, is a famous American television producer, singer and songwriter, as well as an actor. Nick Lachey’s rise to prominence started in 1996, when he, together with his brother Drew Lachey, became a member of a pop and R&B band called “98 Degrees”. Formed by Jeff Timmons in 1996, the group also included Justin Jeffre, and consisted of a total of four singers. Soon the band was signed to the “MoTown” record label, under which they released their first self-titled album, which peaked at #145 on the Billboard 200 chart, and managed to sell more than 500,000 copies. Following the success of their debut album, “98 Degrees” made a film appearance in the movie “Mulan”, in which they performed a song with Stevie Wonder. This brought them even more public attention before the release of their second studio album “98 Degrees and Rising”, which came out in 1998 to largely positive reviews. “98 Degrees and Rising” featured such popular singles as “Because of You”, “The Hardest Thing” and “Fly with Me”, all of which contributed to four million records sold. Several years afterwards, in 2003, “98 Degrees” decided to go on a hiatus, in order to work on their solo projects. The band reunited almost a decade later, in 2012, when they released their fourth studio album entitled “2.0”.
A member of a popular R&B band, how rich is Nick Lachey? According to sources, in 2011, his salary through the “American Idol” television series amounted to $5 million, while in 2013 it rose to as much as $10 million. In regards to his overall wealth, Nick Lachey’s net worth is estimated to be $20 million, most of which he has accumulated due to his singing career, as well as other ventures.
Nick Lachey was born in 1973, in Kentucky, United States. He initially studied at Miami University, and later continued his studies at the University of Southern California. Even though Lachey is best known for his involvement with “98 Degrees”, he has also managed to succeed as a solo artist. In 2003, he came out with a debut solo album called “SoulO”, which featured such singles as “Shut Up” and “This I Swear”. Lachey released his second studio album in 2006, under the title of “What’s Left of Me”, which included a popular single of the same name. Upon its release, Lachey’s album peaked at #2 on the Billboard 200 music chart, and managed to sell more than 500,000 copies in the United States, which earned it a Gold certification from the RIAA. Lachey’s most recent album “Soundtrack of My Life” was released in 2014.
Aside from music, he became involved in the television industry, and has even starred in his own series with his then wife Jessica Simpson called “Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica”. Currently, Lachey works as a host on a morning talk show entitled “Big Morning Buzz Live”.
A well-known singer and songwriter, Nick Lachey has an estimated net worth of $20 million.

Nick Lachey Quotes
- [on performing with ’98 Degrees’ and touring with his family] It’s different, but it’s cool to come off stage and your son is sleeping in a crib on the bus. In a lot of ways it’s a much cooler dynamic – just having the opportunity to share those memories – than to be out on your own.
- We want to make history. Twenty years from now, I’d like to think that 98° will leave a lasting impression.
- Most brothers at this age might be living in different cities and see each other only on the holidays. It’s great because we’re there for each other. It’s an ‘I got your back,’ type of thing.
- I kind of like headstrong women. I like to deal with a little adversity and have a struggle every now and then.
- I’m horrible at dressing myself. I have a closet full of stuff, but I wear the same five or ten things over and over again.
- I’m Jessica’s biggest fan. I want nothing more then to see her succeed.
- Attitude is so important. Confidence and spunk. I like a little drama now and then too…I think that’s incredibly sexy.
