Frank Edwin Wright III was born on the 9th December 1972 in Frankfurt, (then) West Germany, of part-German descent but American parents. He is a musician and composer, who has been the drummer of the punk group Green Day since 1989. He has also played with Samiam, The Lookouts, The Network and Foxboro Hot Tubs. He was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2015. Tre Cool has been active in the entertainment industry since 1985.

How rich is the musician? Authoritative sources estimate that the overall size of Tre Cool’s net worth is equal to $45 million, as of the data given in the middle of 2016.

To begin with, Frank was raised in Willits, California. His father, a pilot during the Cold War, decided to build a house in Willits so that his children could grow safely. Here Frank met his friend and neighbour, Larry Livermore, who gave him the nickname Tré Cool after hearing the French saying which means ‘very cool’. Tré Cool joined his first band called The Lookouts at the age of 12, with the above mentioned band he played in various clubs in California.

Just before the release of their second album entitled “Kerplunk” (1992) Tre Cool became the drummer of the band Green Day, replacing the former drummer Al Sobrante (John Kiffmeyer real name). With the band he recorded 10 studio albums, all of which appeared in the Billboard Top 100 as well as in the charts of Australia, Canada, New Zealand and many European countries. All of the albums received certifications for sales, probably the best albums, which were certified multi platinum and topped the music charts in almost all countries worldwide, were “American Idiot” (2004) and “21st Century Breakdown” (2009). The Green Day has sold more than 65 million albums which has increased the net worth of every member of the band including Tre Cool. Together with the band Cool has been nominated 215 times and won 95 awards including the prestigious American Music Awards (3 times), Grammy Awards (5 times), Billboard Music Awards (6 times), ASCAP Pop Music Awards (2 times) and others. Tre Cool has been named the Best Punk Drummer by DRUM! Magazine three times in 2004, 2005 and 2011. He was also voted to be the best batsman of all time since John Bonham from Rock & Folk. Tré has an excellent technique that allows him to play grooves extremely fast. In addition to playing drums he can be seen singing especially when the group plays live, then Tré sings while at the same time playing the drums. He also plays the guitar and accordion.

Finally, in the personal life of the musician, he has married three times and divorced twice. His first wife was Lisea Lyons whom he married at the beginning of 1995 already having a daughter with her, but they divorced the following year. His second wife Claudia, he married in the middle of 2000, and they had a son before divorcing in 2003. There are several other women Tre Cool has dated, even becoming engaged to Dena Roberson, but he married Sara Rose Lipert in 2014.
