Anthony La Russa, Jr. is a Tampa, Florida-born American professional baseball player, manager as well as an executive. Born on 4 October 1944, La Russa is best known for serving as manager for Major League Baseball (MLB) clubs including the Chicago White Sox, Oakland Athletics and St Louis Cardinals. One of the highly regarded personalities when it comes to baseball, Tony has been active in the field since 1963.

For the next three years Tony took a managerial position with the MLB, and then recently Tony made a comeback to a more active role as an executive for the Arizona Diamondbacks where he has been working since 2014.
