Todd Emmanuel Fisher Wiki Biography

Born Todd Emmanuel Fisher on the 24th February 1958 in Burbank, California USA, he is an actor, cinematographer, director as well as a producer of documentaries and films. Also, he is a businessman, currently serving as CEO and curator of the Hollywood Motion Picture Museum in North Hollywood. Todd has been a part of the entertainment industry since the moment he was born.

Have you ever wondered how rich Todd Fisher is, as of mid- 2017? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Fisher’s net worth is as high as $15 million, an amount earned through his successful careers.

Todd is the son of respectable actors Eddie Fisher, and Debbie Reynolds, of mixed ancestry as his father’s parents were Jewish Russian immigrants, and his mother of Scottish, Irish, and English heritage. Todd had a sister Carrie Fisher, also an actress, who died in December 2016, closely foowed by his mother. Year after his birth, Todd’s parents divorced and his father remarried to actress Connie Stevens and granted Todd half-sisters, Joely Fisher, and Tricia Leigh Fisher.

Todd went to Beverly Hills High School from which he matriculated in 1976, after which he enrolled at the Southern California Institute of Architecture in Los Angeles. However, soon after he graduated, Fisher became an ordained minister, and started the Hiding Place Church with the help of musician Henry Cutrona. Little by little Todd’s influence increased and by 1986 his church had more than 1,000 visitors on Sundays and had relocated several times, ultimately settling in Emerson Middle School in Westwood, Los Angeles, California, as it had outgrown its previous facilities.

However, Todd’s career in the entertainment industry started with his birth, as his mother Debbie, featured him in documentaries about her. Growing up in an artistic family, Todd wasn’t quite in love with acting, but rather with the technical aspects of filmmaking, and focused his efforts on shooting commercials, short films, and documentaries. As he grew older his devotion intensified and he became one of the youngest members of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees.

During the ‘80s he did his best work: he wrote, produced and directed the TV program “Nightlight”, aired on Trinity Broadcasting Network – he also appeared in the show as Reverend Hype. In the early ‘90s, he made his debut as a film producer, with the romantic comedy “Twogether” (1992), starring Nick Cassavetes, Brenda Bakke and Jeremy Piven, but then he became focused on documentaries, and produced ‘Bright Lights: Starring Carrie Fisher and Debbi Reynolds” (2016), and “Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher Celebration of Life” (2017), while also directing the TV series “Movie Memories with Debbie Reynolds” (1991), and “Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher Celebration of Life”.

Although an accomplished director and producer, Todd ventured into architecture too; once his mother bought the Paddlewheel Hotel & Casino at auction for $2.2 million, Todd was the instrumental part of its renovation, which included designing the hotel and casino’s 500-seat showroom. Also, Todd designed the Hollywood Motion Picture Museum.

He then became chief financial officer and treasurer of the Debbie Reynolds Hotel & Casino, however, during his reign the company was losing money, so he stepped down from the position and instead assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer, which he still holds. This increased his net worth to a large degree.

Unfortunately, Debbie Reynolds & Casino continued losing money, and as a result, he had to give up for auction Hollywood memorabilia his mother had collected over the years.

Regarding his personal life, Todd has married three times, firstly to his high school sweetheart Donna Freberg, from 1981 until 1986. He then married Johnny Rivers’ ex-wife Christi Rivers, and became step-father to Christi’s children Vanessa, James, and Brandon. Christi died in 2008. Since 2012 he has been married to actress Catherine Hickland.
