Hudson is a World Series champion (2014), a four-time All-Star (2000, 2004, 2010, and 2014), and AL wins leader (2000). His career started in 1999 and ended in 2015.

Have you ever wondered how rich Tim Hudson is, as of early 2017? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Hudson’s net worth is as high as $50 million, an amount earned through his successful career as a pro baseball player. In addition to playing baseball at the professional level, Hudson currently serves as a spring training instructor for the San Francisco Giants, which has improved his wealth too.

Tim Hudson grew up in Alabama where he went to Glenwood School in Phenix City and led the baseball team to the the 1993 AISA state championship. Although he was a big talent, the scouts considered him undersized, so Tim didn’t receive a scholarship to join a major college. Instead, he enrolled at the local two-year Chattahoochee Valley Community College, where he spent a year before transferring to Auburn University.

The Oakland Athletics selected Hudson in the 6th round of the 1997 MLB Draft, and he debuted in June 1999 against the San Diego Padres, while in 2000, Tim recorded a career-high 20 wins and became the AL wins leader, and earned an invitation to the All-Star event. Hudson represented the A’s in the All-Star event once again in 2004, and during six seasons with Oakland, he had 92 wins, 39 losses, and an ERA of 3.30.

In 2005, Hudson was traded to the Atlanta Braves for Dan Meyer, Juan Cruz, and Charles Thomas, and in August that year, he recorded an 8-1 win over the St. Louis Cardinals in his 100th career game.

The next January, Tim was named to the Team USA roster for the World Baseball Classic in 2006, while in November 2009, he signed a contract extension with the Braves, worth $28 million for the next three seasons, with a $9 million option for the fourth year. In 2010, Hudson appeared in his third All-Star game and was voted the NL Comeback Player of the Year. In October 2012, his $9 million option was exercised by Atlanta and Tim stayed with the Braves until November 2013, when he signed a two-year, $23 million deal with the San Francisco Giants. The 2014 season was the most successful in Hudson’s 16-year pro career, as he won the World Series with the Giants when they beat the Kansas City Royals in seven games, and he also represented his team in the All-Star game.

Hudson played his last competitive game in September 2015, and then decided to retire from professional baseball at age 40.

Regarding his personal life, Tim Hudson has been married to Kim Bruner since 1999, and has two daughters with her; they currently live in Auburn, Alabama.
