Stephen “Tater” Eatinger or more popularly known as Tate Stevens, born on the 1st of March, 1975, is an American country singer who became famous for winning the reality competition show “The X Factor” in 2012.

So how much is Stevens’ net worth? As of early 2017, based on authoritative sources it is reported to be $3 million acquired from his years in the music industry forming bands and doing concert tours and also his prize money from winning “The X Factor”.

Born originally in the state of Texas, Stevens together with his family moved to Belton, Missouri where he grew up. During his years in high school at Belton High School, his interest in music and it lead him to pursue a full time career out of it.

Right after graduation, Stevens released a single “It Surely Looks Good On You” and also led the band called Dixie Cadillacs. The band was able to release a self-titled album in 1996 under Calf Creek Records and was also able to go on tour. His early years with the band started his career and music and also helped start his net worth.

Despite receiving minor success with his band, Stevens left after a couple of years and decided to stay home and take care of his growing family. From being a fulltime musician, he took construction jobs to make ends meet. He even worked at his city’s water department and also landed a job at the street department repairing roads.

Later in 2005, Stevens went back to making music and became the lead singer of Outlaw Junkies. After three years with the band, he decided to leave and form his own band called Tate Stevens Band. The band became well-received by the fans and even toured in the Midwest and released an Independent Album. Despite not reaching major success, his time with various bands also helped his wealth.

Stevens’ life changed in 2012 when he joined the reality competition show “The X Factor” where they search for the next big music act. Unbeknownst to Stevens, his family submitted an application on his behalf and this is what led him to audition for the show. After a couple of months of competition, he took home the title by singing “Tomorrow” by Chris Young.

The victory landed Stevens a recording deal worth $5 million with RCA Records Nashville. His win catapulted him to stardom and tremendously increased his net worth. He released a couple of singles that became chart-toppers in the airwaves including “Holler If You’re With Me” and “Power of a Love Song”.

After a year, Stevens later on decided to part ways with RCA and opt to venture on his own so he could take care of his musical career. Today, Stevens is still active in the music industry.

In terms of his personal life, Stevens is married to his high school sweetheart Ashlie, and together they have three children.
