Michael Coletti was born on 22 January 1965, in Cleveland, Ohio USA – his father was Italian American, and his mother Jewish American. As Steven Adler ,he is a musician best known as the ex-drummer and song writer for the hard rock band Guns N’ Roses, the first band member to be fired by Axl Rose, the band leader and singer. He has also worked with bands including BulletBoys and Vain among others.

Steven later formed the band “Adler”, in which he has been working since 2012.

After leaving Guns N’ Roses, his career as a musician came to a halt as his drug habit became worse. In 1991, he filed a lawsuit against Guns N’ Roses for not receiving royalty for his works. After the case settled, he received a payback of $2,250,000 and was also granted royalties of 15% for everything prior to his departure from the band. In 2008, Adler participated in the reality TV show Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, however, his behavior there was so bad that he was arrested and sentenced to community service.

About his personal life, Adler has been married twice, firstly to his long-time girlfriend, Cheryl, in June of 1989, the couple didn’t long due to his drug addiction problem and divorced in 1990.
