Stefanie Zofya Paul was born on 2 November 1942, in Hollywood, California, USA, of part- Polish descent. Stefanie is an actress, best known for portraying the character Jennifer Hart in the television series “Hart to Hart”. She’s also been seen in numerous films, and all of her efforts have helped put her net worth to where it is today.
How rich is Stefanie Powers? As of mid-2016, sources inform us of a net worth that is at $8 million, mostly earned through a successful career in acting. She’s made many appearances since the 1960s, and has been featured on stage as well. She also made a few music releases, and all of these have ensured the position of her wealth.
After her parents’ divorce, Stefanie remained close to her mother and her half-sister. She attended Hollywood High School and would get her first opportunity in the independent film “The Young Sinner”; for the film she used the alias Taffy Paul. Her career would continue in the early 1960s, mostly playing supporting roles in films such as “Experiment in Terror”, “McLintock!”, and “Palm Springs Weekend”. She also appeared in “Die! Die! My Darling” and would then become a part of “The Girl from U.N.C.L.E”, a spinoff of “The Man from U.N.C.L.E” TV series; her popularity would start to increase though the series only lasted one season, and it enhanced her net worth.
In 1967 she appeared in “Warning Shot”, continuing to make films in the 1970s such as “Herbie Rides Again” and “The Boatniks”. She also made regular appearances on television, including in “McCloud”, “Kung Fu”, “Three for the Road”, and “The Rockford Files”. Powers would then become widely known in the series “Hart to Hart” opposite Robert Wagner, receiving five Golden Globe nominations and two Emmy nominations for the series that ran from 1979 to 1984. After the series run, the two actors would reunite to make a total of eight “Hart to Hart” television movies. She then continued starring in films and television shows including “Mistral’s Daughter” and “Deceptions”.
Stephanie’s stage performances started around this time, including a short stint as part of the musical “Matador”, and she performed in a production of “Love Letters” which earned her a Sarah Siddons Award. Her next appearances would come in “Applause” and “The King and I” which had her touring around the UK and the US. In 2003, she released an album entitled “On the Same Page”, and would then become part of the soap opera “Doctors”. One of her most recent performances was in the musical “Gotta Dance”. All have contributed to her net worth.
For her personal life, she was married to actor Gary Lockwood from 1966 to 1972. She also had a relationship with actor William Holden and this would lead to her becoming the founder of the William Holden Wildlife Foundation after his death. In 1993, she married Patrick Houitte, but they divorced in 1999. Aside from these private moments, Powers was a polo player, but was diagnosed with cancer during 2008 as a result of smoking. She had successful surgery to remove part of her right lung the following year.
