Simon Anthony Bird was born on 18 August 1984, in Guildford, Surrey, England, and is a comedian and actor, best known for being part of the comedy “Friday Night Dinner” in which he plays Adam Goodman. He’s been active in the industry since 2000, and all of his efforts have helped put his net worth to where it is today.

How rich is Simon Bird? As of mid-2017, sources estimate a net worth that is at $8 million, mostly earned through a successful career in acting and comedy, having also been a part of “The Inbetweeners” playing the character Will McKenzie. As he continues his career, it is expected that his wealth will also continue to increase.

Simon attended Cranmore School and would later go to the Royal Grammar School at Guildford. After matriculating, he attended Queens’ College, Cambridge and studied English, during which time he was the President of the sketch and theatrical group called Footlights.

After graduating, Bird then pursued an MA at Birkbeck College focused on cultural and critical studies. During his time there, he set up the comedy sketch group called “The House of Windsor” which consisted of former Footlights members; they performed at the Edinburgh Festival in 2007 and 2008, receiving great reviews and even attention from the national media. Prior to this show, Bird was part of the podcast called “The Weekly Show’ which was part of Channel 4 Radio. Aside from his performances, he also did stand-up comedy, and joined the Chortle’s national student comedy awards from 2005 to 2008, and got second place in his final year there.

He then found his breakthrough which started increasing his net worth when he was cast in the teen comedy “The Inbetweeners”, and for his performance, won the 2008 British Comedy Award for Best Male Newcomer. The following year, he would win the British Comedy Award for Best Actor, and has also had several other nominations for his work including for a BAFTA and Royal Television Society Award nominations.

In 2010, Simon created the comedy panel show called “The King Is Dead”, in which three personalities challenge each other in a series of quiz rounds to try and replace a person who’s hypothetically been killed off. He then worked on the comedy “Friday Night Dinner” before reprising his role in “The Inbetweeners Movie”, which was released the following year, which in turn would lead to the sequel called “The Inbetweeners 2” in 2014 of which he was also a part. He then worked on the pilot “Chickens”, about three men who stayed in England during World War I, which would be picked up by Sky1 and was premiered in 2013. A few of his latest projects include being part of the advertisements for thetrainline.com, and he also starred in the West End production of “The Philanthropist” in 2017. His net worth continued to grow thanks to all of these opportunities.

For his personal life, it is known that Bird married Lisa Owens in 2012 and they have a daughter. He never really wanted to become an actor at first and initially wanted to be a comedian. His parents also wished for him to complete his Ph.D.
