Although a native of Illinois, Robin grew up in California where he attended Woodland Hills’ William Howard Taft High School. His professional baseball career began when he was drafted as the pick No. 3 on the 1973 Major League Baseball draft by the Milwaukee Brewers. His professional debut occurred in April 1974. This whole Brewers’ involvement provided the basis for Robin Yount’s net worth.
At the end of the 1982 season, which happened to be the breakthrough season in Yount’s career, he was the league’s leader with 210 hits which earned him not only a Gold Glove Award but another All Star appearance and another Silver Slugger Award. In addition to all these, Robin was also named as the Most Valuable Player of the season, and led his team to their only World Series appearance in the franchise’s history.
