Raven-Symoné Wiki Biography

Raven-Symoné Christina Pearman, commonly known as Raven-Symoné or simply Raven, is a famous American comedian, actress, singer, film and television producer, as well as a fashion model. Raven’s rise to fame began in 1989, when she first appeared on a sitcom with Bill Cosby called “The Cosby Show”. The popularity of an award-winning show significantly contributed to Raven’s future prospects. Soon after that, she released her first studio album entitled “Here’s to New Dreams”, which produced two singles and sold more than 73 000 copies to date. However, Symoné established herself in the entertainment industry almost a decade later, when in 2003 she debuted with her own television series called “That’s So Raven”. The show was so famous at the time that it not only inspired the creation of the spin off series “Cory in the House”, but also spawned a number of novels, as well as video games based on “That’s So Raven”. An award-winning show, “That’s So Raven” was Raven’s major accomplishment in the industry.

A famous actress and a singer, how rich is Raven-Symoné? In 2006, Symoné collected approximately $510 000 from the sales of her album “That’s So Raven”, and earned $1.6 million and $210 000 for “The Cheetah Girls” and “That’s So Raven Too!” respectively. In 2008, Symoné added an additional sum of $4 700 for her fourth studio album “Raven-Symoné”. So overall, sources state that Raven-Symoné’s net worth is estimated to be $55 million. Undoubtedly, the majority of her net worth comes from her singing and acting career.

Raven-Symoné was born in 1980, in Atlanta, Georgia. Symoné’s modeling career began when she was just an infant as she was a face for “Atlanta’s Young Faces” modeling agency and had her pictures published in several magazines. While still a child, she worked for “Ford Models” and was also featured on advertisements for “Cool Whip”, “Jell-O” and others. Symoné debuted on television screens with “The Cosby Show” and since then has been a recurring face on television screens.

Following the success of “The Cosby Show” and her debut album, Raven-Symoné made her film debut in 1994 with a comedy film entitled “The Little Rascals”. Two years later, Symoné co-founded a record label “RayBlaze Records”, and went on to co-star with Eddie Murphy and Oliver Platt in “Dr. Doolittle”, an Academy Award-winning comedy film, which grossed more than $294 million at the box office. Symoné’s success, as well as her net worth, have only risen higher since then. A year later she released her second studio album “Undeniable”, and in 2001 reprised her role as Charisse Dolittle in “Dr. Doolittle 2”.

During her lengthy acting career, Raven-Symoné has had an opportunity to star in some of the most well-known television projects, including “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” with Will Smith, “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody” with Cole and Dylan Sprouse, “The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement” with Julie Andrews and Anne Hathaway and many more.

A famous actress and singer, Raven-Symoné has a net worth of $55 million.

Raven-Symoné Quotes

  • [on life with AzMarie Livingston] “I refuse to binge watch shows with anyone unless it’s my partner because I need to watch it when I need to watch it. Right now, I can’t watch the rest of Suits because I gotta wait for her. I’m like, ‘I want to watch it now!’ “
  • [About retiring from acting at age 27] “I realized there had been a plan for me since I was a baby. There was a bucket list that I didn’t create, but I just kept checking things off. So I added, ‘I want to be the youngest person in my world to retire.’ “
  • Singing is just another outlet to express what I feel and to show everyone who I really am. I really don’t talk about my personal life that much in interviews because that’s my life, but with music, the way I write explains who I am.
  • Behind closed doors, I’m a crafty person.
  • Be very professional because it will get you a lot further. You have to treat people with the same respect whether they’re signing your checks or cleaning up after you.
  • I’m definitely addicted to purses.
  • The way we function in society – it doesn’t make sense sometimes because it’s all based on how you look and then how badly you should feel after you eat the food we just advertised. And then when someone in the public eye goes up or down, it’s like a major moment.
  • I have a responsibility to not look crazy in public. I don’t want to be the person where later in life when I have kids, to say, ‘Don’t do this’ and my kids go, ‘But Mom, you did it.’
  • I used to breed poodles. I liked them because they were fluffy and so cute – and honestly, they make a lot of money when you sell them!
  • I’ve definitely had obstacles in my career – my whole entire career – to stay a certain weight, to get smaller than I have been, but I look at my family, I look at where I come from and that’s not really in our genes.
  • I went to public school, elementary through high school. I went to homecoming, to football games, pep rallies, I got detention, I got an F. I’ve done it all.
  • I am obsessed with my hairstyles.
  • I’m not one for a public display of my life.
  • I think our society is all about judgment, which is so rude and disrespectful.
  • I believe you should be comfortable in your skin no matter what you go through – emotionally or whatever – as long as you’re healthy.
  • I love to see the smiles on people’s faces when you cook for them. I love to go to different restaurants. I want to cook because I know this acting isn’t going to last forever, and I want something to fall back on. It’s another way to make people smile.
  • I’m not perfect. This is how I was raised. If I wasn’t in the industry, I’d be the same person.
  • It’s important for young people to know that they are made the way they are made and they’re beautiful and that’s how they’re supposed to be.
  • It’s difficult to not be able to just be yourself without criticism in any position, whether you’re in high school, college, or this industry.
  • Everybody takes breaks, and I decided to take mine. I wanted a chance to wake up at two in the afternoon and not be a subject of entertainment. I wanted to be a human being. At certain times and certain years, I felt like the Energizer bunny. That gets old very quickly.
  • I find it funny that people now come up to me and say, ‘Wow, you are absolutely gorgeous. I’m like, ‘I was beautiful before I lost weight. Egotistically speaking, I thought I was amazing.’
