Randy Couture Wiki Biography

Randy Duane Couture was born on 22nd June 1963, in Lynnwood, Washington State USA, and is a mixed martial arts fighter, a reality television star and a heavyweight champion. His acting career includes a part in the film “Cradle 2”, and a participation in the reality show “The Ultimate Fighter”.

So just how rich is Randy Couture? Sources estimate that the champion has a net worth of $17 million. He has made most of his money fighting, but he completes his earnings from appearances in movies, television shows and through business. In 2007, The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) revealed that Randy Couture`s income from fighting and pay-per-view revenue for that year alone was about $2.9 million. Besides the UFC earnings, the press has written that Randy has made more than $5 million from movies and that he has an annual income of about $2 million. The fighter owns two mixed martial arts training centres in Las Vegas and in Vancouver, and he has his own clothing line. He lives in Las Vegas, Nevada, in a 3,700 square feet house, bought for less than $1 million, but which has a swimming pool, five bathrooms, four bedrooms, and two fireplaces.

Called also “The Natural” and “Captain America”, Randy Couture is a legend, winning 3 times the UFC heavyweight championship and 2 times the UFC lightweight championship. He is also famous for being the first to hold in the same time two UFC titles in two different divisions. He served in the U.S. Army between 1982 and 1988.

He started his career in 1997 and he became known after his victory against an opponent with a 100 pound advantage. He participated in several martial art events, including UFC 13, UFC 15, UFC Japan, RINGS King of Kings Tournament 2000, UFC 31, UFC 34, and The Ultimate Fighter 3 Finale. He announced his retirement in 2006, however, he soon returned to fighting. He had a conflict with the UFC in 2007, about earnings, but despite this issue he continued to fight in organized events. He spoke often about fighters` deserving health insurance, retirement plans and equal compensation to other athletes and sports. In 2008, Randy released an autobiography called “Becoming the Natural: My Life In and Out of the Cage”. This also added to Randy’s net worth.

He started his acting career in 2003, and since then has appeared in more than 20 movies and television series, including “The Expendables”, “The Expendables 2”, “Ambushed”, “The Roots of Fight”, “The Expendables 3”, and “Hawaii Five-0”. He has participated in several television shows and specials too, such as “The Ultimate Fighter”, “Dancing with the Stars”, “Fighters Only Mixed Martial Arts Awards 2010”, or “UFC Ultimate Insider”, which have contributed to the increase of Randy Couture`s net worth and of his Hollywood value: for his movie he received more than $1 million, a lot more than he had been paid for the previous one.

Randy Couture has married three times: to Sharon Couture, to Tricia Couture, and to Kim Couture, from whom he divorced in 2009. The fighter has 3 children, 2 sons and a daughter.
