Rachel Maddow Wiki Biography

Popular American TV and radio personality Rachel Maddow was born on 1 April 1973, in Castro Valley, California, and is also an author and political commentator, but best known through “The Rachel Maddow Show“ which has been aired since 2008. During her career, Maddow has won many awards and nominations, include Emmy, Gracie, and John Steinbeck Awards among others.

So just how rich is Rachel Maddow? It has been estimated by authoritative sources that Rachel’s net worth is now over $25 million, accumulated mainly from her career as a TV and radio personality, but her other activities have also contributed to her wealth. As she continues her career, there is a strong chance that Rachel’s net worth will keep on rising.

Rachel Anne Maddow studied at Stanford University, from where she graduated with a degree in public policy. Later she studied at Oxford University, and finished a Doctor of Philosophy in politics. Rachel began her career as a radio host at “WRNX”, and then worked at “WRSI” and “Air America”. These experiences added to Maddow’s net worth, as did guest hosting of “Countdown”, and laid the groundwork for her own show. In 2008 Rachel debuted her own program, “The Rachel Maddow Show”, a weekly talk fest which now has well over 400 episodes to its credit, and is syndicated throughout the US, so significantly adding to her net worth.

In addition to her career as a radio host, Rachel has also worked on television. In 2005 she became a part of the show Tucker on MSNBC, and the following year a guest on “Paula Zahn Now” on CNN. In 2008, Maddow worked with David Gregory on the show entitled “Race for the White House”, again raising her profile and net worth. The same year Rachel also had her own self-titled TV show, which became very popular and drew considerable acclaim, also as she became the first lesbian host of news and talk-back show, which was a huge change in the TV industry at the time, especially as Rachel demonstrated that her sexuality made no difference to the presentation of the show.

Rachel has also published a book, in 2012, called “Drift: The Unmooring of American Military Power”, which also added to her bank account.

In her less-than-private personal life, Rachel lives with Susan Mikula, her partner since 1999, in New York City, and is not afraid to tell the world that she is a lesbian. There is little doubt that Rachel will continue her activities, and so probably become even more successful and wealthier.
