Montell Jordan Wiki Biography
Montell Jordan Net Worth
Montell Jordan was born on 23 December 1968, in Los Angeles, California USA, and is a singer and songwriter who climbed to fame in 1995 with the hit single “This is How We Do It”. Montell was the primary solo artist for Def jam recordings which took him to the next level of fame and money. Jordan is not only a singer but also a songwriter and a producer, who has written and produced for other singers as well. He has released six studio albums to date, and currently serves as the worship leader at Victory World Church in Norcross, Georgia following his retirement from mainstream music industry in 2010.
So how rich is Montell Jordan? This exceptional singer enjoys a net worth amounting to $500,000 as of 2015, most of which having been amassed from his successful music career.
Montell Jordan was raised in LA. Jordan was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi in Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, from where he graduated with a bachelors degree in communications in 1991. After his breakthrough hit single, Jordan went on to give a string of hit singles over the next few years, such as “Somethin’ 4 Da Honeyz”, “Let’s Ride” and many more. In 2003 Jordan left Def Jam recordings to sign with the record label Koch Records, and released the album “Life After Def”. Jordan again switched to another record label named Fontana Records from where he released his next album, “Let It Rain”. Montell has released many singles which have found a place in top 40 hits, and which include the likes of “Let’s Ride” and “Get It on Tonite”. His last album release was in 2008 entitled “Let it Rain”. After all these successful ventures, he announced his retirement from the music industry in 2010. However, Jordan has made several cameo appearances since then, including performing at notable sports events, such as singing the national anthem at NBA play-off games as recently as 2015.
For a celebrity, he is kind of a non-attention seeker and likes to keep himself far from all the crowd of show business. He is also a devoted Christian or a born-again Christian who has managed to exclude himself from his mainstream musical career, to become a Worship Minister at Victory World Church.
While Jordan likes to keep to himself about many personal matters, it is not so secret that he has been married to Kristin Hudson since 1994, and they are the proud parents of four children. Currently, the family lives in Atlanta, Georgia where Jordan serves as the pastor on the staff of Victory World Church. Jordan recently wrote a Christian album which features the song “Shake Heaven”, so even while serving god, Jordan has never taken himself completely apart from his field of passion, i.e. music.
While talking about his net worth, Jordan made quite a lot of money that amounted to millions previously but after his retraction from the mainstream music field, his net worth is now counted in thousands, which is still more than adequate for him and his family to lead a decent lifestyle as they have chosen.
