Mimi Lazo Wiki Biography

Born Ana María Lazo on the 23rd November 1954 in Caracas, Venezuela, Mimi is a stage, television and film actress, as well as a producer, best known to the world for her appearance in “El Aplauso Va Por Dentro” (1996), a monologue which eventually took her across South America and Europe as well. On screen, she is known for playing Federica del Rosario Pérez in the TV series “Emerald Heart”, among many other differing accomplishments.

Have you ever wondered how rich Mimi Lazo is, as of early 2018? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Lazo’s net worth is as high as $100,000, an amount earned through her successful career in the world of entertainment, active since the mid- ‘70s.

Mimi grew up in her hometown with her brother Henrique Lazo, who is now also an accomplished actor. She started acting in the mid- ‘70s, appearing in several stage productions in the workshops of Caracas, and after some success, Mimi received a scholarship to study Scenic Arts in Italy, and later also took acting classes in the Actors Studio of New York.

Before leaving for Italy, Mimi made her official stage and screen debut in the play “Twelfth Night”, and in the TV series “Carolina”, so establishing her net worth.

She returned to her native country in the ‘80s, and continued where she left off by securing the role of Elvira in the TV series “Amor Prohibido” in 1986, but her real rise to prominence started with the ‘90s. She was first chosen for the role of Antonieta Marcano De Izaguirre in the soap opera “De Mujeres”, and appeared in over 160 episodes of the highly acclaimed series.

Then in 1995 she played Ana Lucia in another soap opera “El Desafio”, while in 1996 reached global recognition with that monologue “El Aplauso Va Por Dentro”.

She returned to screen roles in 1997, portraying Josefina in the soap opera “Contra Viento y Marea”, further increasing her net worth. Before the ‘90s ended, Mimi made several other appearances in Mexican TV series, while in 2003 she was chosen for the part of Inés Guerra in the soap opera “La invasora” (2003-2004). The following year Mimi featured in the award-winning thriller film “Perder es cuestión de método”, but also continued with soap opera roles, most notably as Gladis Lopez in “Voltea pa’ que te Enamores” (2006-2007), then as Maigualida de Hernandez in “Harina de Otro Costal” (2010), and Federica del Rosario Perez in “Emerald Heart” (2014), all of which increased her net worth by a large margin. She also made several appearances in films, such as “Tamara” in 2016, and is also working on the film “Humanpersons”, in which she will play Maggie.

Thanks to her success, together with Salma Hayek and María Conchita Alonso, the magazine Style has named her one of the best actresses in Latin America.

When it comes to her personal life, Mimi has been married to Luis Fernandez, a fellow Venezuelan actor, since 1994. Mimi has a daughter, Cindy Aoun, born in 1982, who is also an actress, and an assistant director.
