Mark Brunell was born on the 17th September in Los Angeles, California, USA and is a former American Football player. He played the position of a quarterback in the professional level NFL for the Green Bay Packers, the Jacksonville Jaguars (where he spent most of his career, from 1995 to 2003), the Washington Redskins, the Saints of New Orleans and the New York Jets, in which he finished his career before retiring in 2012.

In 2008, Brunell was traded to the New Orleans Saints to serve as a reserve for Drew Brees, and in the first season with the team he never took the field. After playing as a holder for the regular 2009 season, Brunell returned to the field as a quarterback in the last game of the season. In Super Bowl XLIV the Saints defeated the Indianapolis Colts, thus Brunell won his only career ring, and the Saints their first. In 2010, Brunell signed a two-year deal with the New York Jets as a reserve for Mark Sanchez, but when his contract expired after 201 it was not renewed.Mark has since taken up coaching, currently of the Episcopal School of Jacksonville.
