Lisa Emery was born on the 29th January 1952, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania USA, and is an award-winning stage, television and film actress, best known to the world for her role in the play “Iron” (2002), and as Darlene Snell in the TV series “Ozark” (2017), among many other differing appearances.
Have you ever wondered how rich Lisa Emery is, as of late 2017? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Emery’s wealth is as high as $1.9 million, an amount earned through her successful career in the world of entertainment, active since the mid- ‘80s.
Lisa is the daughter of an actress and an advertising executive. From a young age, she was drawn to arts, but in the beginning wanted to become a painter, but later changed her mind. After finishing high school, she enrolled at Hollins University to study painting, but joined drama classes, and following her graduation moved to New York, and enrolled at Circle in the Square Theatre School, affiliated with the Circle in the Square Theatre, and started auditioning for various roles, eventually making her debut in the television film “Doubletake” in 1985, starring Richard Crenna, Beverly D’Angelo and Vincent Bagetta, and continuing with minor roles in B- production films, such as “Dreamaniac” (1986), and “How to Be Louise” (1990), which at least established her net worth.
She didn’t have much success on screen until the early 2000s, when she appeared in the Academy Award-nominated drama thriller “Unfaithful” (2002), starring Richard Gere, Diane Lane and Olivier Martinez, and then in 2006 she had a supporting role in the drama film “Brother’s Shadow”, and the same year featured in the mystery thriller “The Night Listener”, next to Robin Williams, Toni Collette and Rory Culkin. During the rest of the decade, Lisa made several one-time appearances in such TV series as “Damages” (2007), “Canterbury’s Law” (2008) and “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” (2008), and then in 2015 portrayed Louise Thompson in the TV series “Jessica Jones”, and most recently she was given the role of Darlene Snell in the new Netflix series “Ozark” (2017), which certainly increased her wealth.
To speak of her career in theater, Lisa made her stage debut in the play “The Matchmaker”, and continued her career with appearances in such successful plays as “Talley & Son” (1985), “Burn This” (1987), “Marvin’s Room” (1991), for which she received Drama Desk Award nomination for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Play, then “What the Butler Saw” (2000), “Iron” (2002-2003), and “Abigail’s Party” (2005), among other appearances that have added a substantial amount to her wealth.
Regarding her personal life, in 1990 Lisa married actor Josh Pais, but the couple divorced in 2003. The two have a son from their marriage, Zane Pais, who is also an actor. Those ‘in the know’ say that Lisa has since remained single.
