Lillo Brancato Wiki Biography
Lillo Brancato Jr. Is an actor born on 30th August 1976 in Bogota, Colombia. He is best known for his roles as Calogero Anello in Robert De Niro’s 1993 film „A Bronx Tale“ and as Matthew Bevilaqua in TV series „The Sopranos“.
Have you ever wondered how rich Lillo Brancato is? According to sources, it has been estimated that Lillo Brancato’s overall net worth is $1000, as of late 2017. Lillo Brancato accumulated his net worth through years of his acting career, but it significantly decreased since he was charged with second-degree murder in a burglary. Due to these circumstances, his career was interupted and damaged, which led to his significant wealth loss.
Lillo was raised in a family who adopted him when he was four months old. His adoptive family was Italian-American, and he was raised in Yonkers, New York City. Brancato studied at Mount Saint Michael Academy before he was discovered at Jones Beach by a talent scout who thought he was a ’lookalike’ to actor Robert De Niro. Since Lillo was a big fan of De Niro himself and impressed the scout with his impression of the character from „Taxi Driver“, Brancato won the role of Calogero ’C’ Anello, De Niro character’s son in “A Bronx Tale“ (1993). Later during the ’90s, Lillo landed several other roles including in movies “Renaissance Man“ (1994) in which he starred next to Danny DeVito and Mark Wahlberg and “Crimson Tide“ (1995) in which he appeared with Gene Hackman and Denzel Washington. Another one of his well-known roles was in the second season of the TV series “The Sopranos“ in which he portrayed the character of young mobster Matthew Bevilaqua. Lillo also landed a similar role in TV series “Falcone“ in 2000. The following year he acted with his fellow Sopranos cast member Drea de Matteo in the crime movie “R Xmas“, all pof which added steadily to his net worth.
However, his career came to a halt, when in June 2005 Brancato was arrested by the Yonkers Police Department after he was pulled over for an expired registration, which led to the Police finding heroin in his possession. In December the same year, he was arrested in the Bronx for the suspected murder an off-duty NYPD officer. Finally after a trial taking three years to complete, he was convicted on a charge of attempted first-degree burglary, and sentenced to 10 years in jail in January 2009. Initially incarcerated at the Oneida Correctional Facility in Rome, New York, he was later transferred to Hudson Correctional Facility, but Brancato was released on parole in December 2013. He has reportedly abandoned his drug habit, and now earned his high-school equivalency diploma.
Lillo has also managed to resume his acting career, and appeared in five films recently, including “Man of the House“ and “Dead on Arrival“, so possibly his net worth will improve somewhat if he continues in the same vein.
When it comes to his private life, Lillo dated writer Chanel Capra in the early ‘90s, and Stefanie Armento from 2003 to 2005. He is reportedly now dating Christina Chen, with the two planning marriage.
