Kevin Benjamin Kolb Wiki Biography

Kevin Benjamin Kolb was born on the 24th August 1984, in Victoria, Texas USA, and is a retired American Football quarterback who played seven seasons in the National Football League(NFL) for teams the Philadelphia Eagles” (2007-2010), Arizona Cardinals (2011-2012), and Buffalo Bills (2013). His career started in 2007 end ended in 2013.

Have you ever wondered how rich Kevin Kolb is, as of early 2017? According to authoritative sources it has been estimated that Kolb’s net worth is as high as $5 million, earned largely through his successful career as a professional American football player.

Kevin went to Stephenville High School, Texas, where he started playing competitive football as a quarterback, however, it wasn’t until sophomore year that his skills were noticed, and he became the starting quarterback. During his college career, Kevin received several prestigious honors, including being named two-time UIL District 8-4A offensive MVP. In his senior season, he had 3,357 passing yards with 206 passes completed out of 321 attempts, which was enough for 29 touchdowns.

After high school, he enrolled at the University of Houston, because his old high school coach, Art Briles joined Houston. He continued successfully in college, receiving several recognitions, such as CollegeFootballNews.com Freshman of the Year honors, Conference USA All-Freshman team honors, and Conference USA Offensive MVP honors. His prolific career ended with 12,964 passing yards, which was enough for 85 touchdowns, while he also scored 21 rushing touchdowns.

His professional career began in 2007, when he was selected as the 36th overall pick by the Philadelphia Eagles, signing a contract worth $4.285 million over four years, which significantly increased his net worth. Although he had been successful in college, he wasn’t given a chance to prove himself, as he was only third quarterback, behind Donovan McNabb and A.J. Feeley, so in his rookie season, Kevin played in only one game, was scoreless and was sacked twice, with 13 yards lost. For the second season, he was promoted to second quarterback, and received some playing time behind A.J. Feeley. In six games in which he wore Eagles jersey, he had 144 passing yards, but was again left without a touchdown.

He continued in the same poor form in his third season, but that all changed in 2010, when he posted his first 1000+ passing yards season, with 1,197 completed passing yards, for seven touchdowns.

However, his stay at Philadelphia ended after the season, as he was traded to the Arizona Cardinals, for Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, a cornerback, and a second rounder from the 2012 NFL Draft. In his first season for the new team, Kevin posted his career high; in nine games he played and started, he completed 1,955 passing yards, for nine touchdowns. He posted similar numbers in 2012, but in fewer games, mostly because of injuries that began to nag him. Unfortunately, his career ended in 2012, though he was traded to the Buffalo Bills, he never recorded an appearance, and was waived by the Bills in 2014. He retired due to nagging concussion symptoms, and was diagnosed with post-concussion syndrome.

Regarding his personal life, Kolb has been married to Whitney Huddleston since 2007; the couple has two children. He is a wild hog hunting enthusiast and often goes hunting.
