Keesha Sharp Wiki Biography

Keesha Ulricka Sharp was born on 9 June 1973, in Rochester, New York State USA, and is a director and actress, perhaps best known for being a part of the series “Girlfriends”, in which she played the role of Monica Charles Brooks, being nominated for an NAACP Image Award for her performance. She’s been active in the industry since 2000, and all of her efforts have helped put her net worth to where it is today.

How rich is Keesha Sharp? As of early-2018, sources estimate a net worth that is at $2 million, mostly earned through a successful career in acting. She’s also appeared in numerous films, and has made various guest appearances in other television shows. As she continues her career, it is expected that her wealth will also continue to increase.

Keesha attended The Boston Conservatory, and after completing her studies started to focus on a career on stage. She became a part of the Broadway production “Carousel” – an adaptation from another play entitled “Liliom” – with which she went on a National Tour. She also became a part of the comedy “Eat the Runt” in which she played eight different roles. She continues with stage projects, and has been involved with parts in “The Producers”, “Aida”, and “Abyssinia”. She then started appearing on television, making guest appearances in “Third Watch” and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”. Afterwards, she decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue more on-screen roles.

In 2002 Sharp was then cast in the series “Girlfriends”, in which she played the girlfriend of Reggie Hayes’ character, and running until 2008 became the longest-running live-action sitcom on network television during its time. For her performance, she earned a nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, but concurrently she also had a recurring role in “Everybody Hates Chris”, and also did film work including in “Never Die Alone”, and “Why Did I Get Married?” When “Girlfriends” ended, Sharp then had starring roles in “The Game”, “Cold Case” and “The Exes”, before becoming a regular cast member of the television sitcom “Are We There Yet?”, about a family adapting to a new setup after their divorced mother remarries. In 2015, she was cast in the drama series “American Crime Story”, playing the role of Dale Cochran, wife of Johnnie Cochran; the true crime anthology series presents past crime events based on popular written work.

A few of Keesha’s latest projects include “Lethal Weapon” – an adaptation of the film series of the same name – in which she is a series regular alongside Damon Wayans Sr, as Trish Murtagh. She also appeared in the biographical film “Marshall” playing the wife of Thurgood Marshall alongside Chadwick Boseman.

For her personal life, it is known that Keesha is married to actor and singer Brad Sharp; according to reports, they have been together for more than 20 years. They also have a son.
