Judy Norton was born on 29th January 1958, in Santa Monica, California USA, and is an actress and theater director, probably still best known to the world for portraying Mary Ellen Walton in the TV series “The Waltons” (1971-1981), and as Talia in “Stargate SG-1 (1998), among other roles. Her career began in the late `60s.
Have you ever wondered how rich Judy Norton is, as of late 2016? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Judy`s net worth is as high as $4 million, earned through her successful career in the entertainment industry.
Judy is the daughter of Harry and Constance (nee Glazebrook) Norton. Her career began when she was still a child, with an uncredited role in Richard Quine`s “Hotel” (1967). After that she appeared in the TV series “The Felony Squad” (1968), and three years later she was selected for the role of Mary Ellen Walton in the TV series “The Waltons”. The show aired until 1981, increasing Judy`s net worth by a large margin, but also considerably increasing her popularity. She subsequently reprised the role of Mary in several films about the Walton family – “The Homecoming: A Christmas Story” (1971), “The Waltons: A Decade of the Waltons” (1980), “A Wedding on Walton’s Mountain” (1982), “Mother`s Day on Waltons Mountain” (1982), “A Day for Thanks on Waltons Mountain” (1982), “A Walton Thanksgiving Reunion” (1993), “A Walton Wedding” (1995), and “A Walton Easter” (1997), all of which added further to her net worth as the subjects remained very popular with audiences.
Apart from her role in “The Waltons”, Judy has played other notable roles; in 1998 she appeared in the film “The Inspectors”, and in 1999 she featured in “A Twist of Faith”. Her next role was in the film “Off Season” (2001), after which she retreated from the screen and focused more on theater performances. In 2013 she returned with two films that weren’t quite successful, while she also got a part of Sophia Wyndom in the TV series “Bluff” (2013-2014). In 2014 she appeared in the film “Finding Harmony”, starring Alison Eastwood, and a year later had a role in the film “The Sparrows: Nesting” (2015). She has several projects that are yet to be released, including “Another Day in Paradise” and “XYZ Project”, which should add to her net worth.
Furthermore, Judy and her current husband Robert Graves own and operate several dinner theaters in Canada, which also contributes to her net worth.
Judy also posed nude for Playboy magazine in August 1985, which also added to her net worth and fame.
Regarding her personal life, Judy has been married to Robert Graves since 2002. Previously she was married to Douglas Taylor, hence her last name Taylor; the couple was married from 1976 until 1978. Also, she married Randy Apostle in 1991, with whom she had a daughter before they divorced in 2001.
