How rich is Meli’sa Morgan? As of early-2017, sources inform us of a net worth that is at $1 million, mostly earned through a successful career in the music industry. She’s had a lot of charting songs and albums, and continues to perform today, so all of these achievements have ensured the position of her wealth.

At a young age, Morgan was already singing with local bands. She also entered talent competitions, and attended Julliard School of the Performing Arts. Eventually, she got her start in the music industry as part of a church gospel choir called Starlets of Corona, and in time she also became the lead singer of the dance group Shades of Love.

They had a song that became a part of the Hot Dance Club Play chart in 1982, called “Body to Body (Keep in Touch)”, which continued to found popularity over the years thanks to remixes, one of which reached the top spot of the Hot Dance Club Play Chart. Meli’sa was then asked to join a new studio group called High Fashion; they released one hit song “Feelin’ Lucky Lately” which reached number 32 spot on the US Black Singles Chart, but she would leave the group in 1983 to become a backing singer for artists such Whitney Houston and Melba Moore.

She then went on to work as a solo artist, finding success with the cover of Prince’s “Do Me, Baby”, which to date has been her only Billboard Hot 100 entry. However, she then released the song “Do You Still Love Me” which became a top five R&B single; most of the songs from her debut album would make it onto the US dance chart, and thanks to which her net worth started to rise considerably.

Morgan then went on hiatus for a long period, before returning in 2005 with another album called “I Remember”. The first single released from the album was entitled “Back Together Again”, and it received moderate airplay. She followed it up with more songs such as “I Remember” and “High Maintenance”, and one of her latest projects is a collaboration with Cool Million.
