Jordan Johnson Wiki Biography

Born as Jordan Johnson on the 11th September 1989, in St Louis, Missouri USA, under his stage name of Shorty da Prince, he is a rapper, and radio and TV personality, best known for being one of the four hosts of BET’s “106 & Park” that began airing on the 1st October 2012, and for his work as a host on radio station Hot 107.5, in Detroit Michigan.

Have you ever wondered how rich Shorty da Prince is, as of late 2017? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Shorty’s net worth is as high as $1 million, an amount earned through his successful career as a radio and TV host, and a musician, since the early 2000s.

Shorty began his career at a very young age; he was only a 12-year old kid when he won a radio host search at KATZ 100.3 The Beat. He began by hosting a Saturday morning show, and soon started to gain popularity as a radio DJ in the city, moving to a prime time DJ slot, weekdays from 6 pm to midnight while still in high school. Shorty easily became one of the most top rated on-air personalities on WHHL Hot 104.1 St Louis, but in 2010 he made the decision to move to Detroit where he landed a spot on the top-rated hip-hop station in the city – Hot 107.5. As of 2015, Shorty is hosting on 93.3 WKYS in the DMV (DC/MD/VA)

Shorty soon began to think of ways to expand his career, and utilize more of his talents. He chose to seek opportunities in TV hosting, and it wasn’t long before he landed the role as a correspondent on BET’s 106 and Park, which then led him to become the host.

Throughout his successful career as a radio personality, Shorty actively went after his dreams in music too. Shorty was 15 years old when he signed a deal with Track Boyz Entertainment (Nelly Air Force Ones) under the stage name of Shorty da Kid, and was introduced on a tour of artist showcases attended by the executives of Capital, Def Jam, Universal and Atlantic records. Atlantic Records media executive Kevin Liles took notice of Shorty and immediately signed him to the label.

Shorty is best known for his 2008 summer hit “Wah wah wow”, and some other hits are “Coolin”, “Ratchet”, “Ratchet Pt.2”, “Fire”, “Do ya own dance” ft Luey V & Laudie and “Robin Hood”. However, in 2010 Atlantic/Warner Bros records made the decision to cut Shorty from the label, but despite that, he continues to release music for his loyal fans, and adopted the name of Shorty da Prince.

Shorty also appeared as himself in the 2012 TV movie “Black girls rock!” alongside Alicia Keys, Missy Eliot, Ciara, Brandy Norwood and many others.

In May 2014, Shorty became the afternoon drive DJ on Cleveland radio station WENZ 107.9 FM, a position that he still occupies, and wich is adding steadily to his net worth.

Regarding his personal life, Shorty tends to keep his most intimate details hidden from the public eyes, therefore, no reliable information is available in the media about this successful musician, and there aren’t even any rumours of romantic associations, yet!
