Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, born on the 17th of April, 1985, in Le Mans, France, and is a French professional tennis player who is currently ranked number seven in the world. He became famous in 2008 when he defeated world number one Rafael Nadal in the 2008 Australian Open.

Authoritative sources estmate that Tsonga’s net worth is over $10 million, accumulated largely through his prize money won as a professional tennis player since 2004Tsonga is the son of Didier Tsonga, a handball player who is of Congolese descent and later became a chemistry teacher, and Evelyne Tsonga, a French woman who was also an educator. Tsonga showed potential in playing tennis at a very early age. In 2003, he was already competing at the US Open Juniors championship.
