J.R. Smith was born Earl Joseph Smith III on 9 September 1985, in Freehold Borough, New Jersey USA. He is best known for his role playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA. Over his career, he has also played for teams such as the New York Knicks, Denver Nuggets and New Orleans Hornets. Overseas, he has played for the Chinese Basketball Association’s Zhejiang Golden Bulls.
