Born as Harry Gerrard “H.G.” Bissinger III on the 1st November 1954, in New York City, USA, he is a journalist and author, best known to the world for his bestseller “Friday Night Lights”, for which he won a Pulitzer Prize. Buzz’s career started in the mid- ‘70s.

The book became extremely successful, and was later adapted into the film “Friday Night Lights” (2004), and a TV series which lasted from 2006 until 2011, starring Kyle Chandler, Connie Britton and Aimee Teegarden. Buzz has since released several more books, including the sequel “After Friday Night Lights” which came out in 2012; then “A Prayer for the City” (1998), about the Philadelphia political scene; “Thee Nights August” (2005) which also became a bestseller; and “Shooting Stars” (2009) co-written with the Basketball All-Star player LeBron James, the sales of which certainly increased his net worth to a large degree.
