Forrest Griffin was born on 1 July 1979 in Columbus, Ohio USA, and is a well-known former mixed martial artist, coach, actor, as well as a police officer. He fighting career spanned 12 years from 2001-13.

So just how rich is Forest Griffin? Authoritative sources estimate that Griffin’s net worth is over $7 million, with his career as a professional martial artist being the key contributor to his wealth.

Forrest Griffin initially attended the University of Georgia to study political science. At the same time as studying, Griffin worked at the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, and additionally worked as a patrol officer. Griffin’s training at the mixed martial arts center called the “HardCore Gym” influenced his decision to leave his job as a police officer and pursue a career in martial arts.

Soon enough, Forrest became a well-recognized name in the martial arts. Griffin started his career by fighting such famous martial artists as Jeff Monson, Chael Sonnen, and Dan Severn. Even though at the time Griffin was known locally, his rise to fame came a bit later when he joined a reality television series and mixed martial arts competition called “The Ultimate Fighter”. Griffin immediately made a name for himself when he fought against Stephan Bonnar, as their match attracted millions of viewers and turned “The Ultimate Fighter” into a mainstream, commercial success. Called “the most important fight in the UFC history”, Griffin and Bonnar’s match was voted as a Shoot Match of the Year, as well as the “greatest fight in UFC history”. Griffin, who was the winner of the legendary match, was granted a professional contract with the UFC. His net worth rose accordingly.

He continued his mixed martial artist career with more memorable matches, including fights with Tito Ortiz, Keith Jardine, Hector Ramirez and Maurício Rua. Griffin’s skills and abilities brought him many wins, and as a result made him a popular figure in UFC and further increased his net worth.

When “The Ultimate Fighter 6” ended, it was announced that Griffin would take part in “The Ultimate Fighter 7” and take upon the role of a coach. It was later revealed that Griffin would also fight the opposing coach Quinton “Rampage” Jackson at the end of the show.

In 2008, Griffin co-hosted an event with Dana White and Stephan Bonnar called “25 Tuffest Moments in The Ultimate Fighter”. Before his retirement from the UFC, Forrest Griffin managed to win the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship, Fight of the Night and Submission of the Night events. Griffin announced his retirement in 2013, stating that he would leave the MMA due to health issues. That same year, Griffin and Bonnar were both inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.

Griffon currently works as an MMA instructor in Las Vegas, and is also the author of two books: “50 Zen Principles of Hand-to-Face Combat” and “Be Ready When The Shit Goes Down: A Survival Guide To The Apocalypse”.

In his personal life, Forrest Griffin married Jaime Logiudice in 2009 after a long association, and they have a daughter.
