Fayez Sarofim was born in 1929 in Egypt, and is the heir to the Sarofim family fortune, but is also known as a fund manager to the Dreyfus family, as well as the co-owner of the energy infrastructure company Kinder Morgan and the National Football Association (NFL) team the Houston Texans. Fayez became an inductee into the Texas Business Hall of Fame in 1997. He is also known for his philanthropic efforts.

However, Linda and Fayez divorced in 1996, and this time Sarofim paid a divorce settlement of $12 million. At the end of 2014, Sarofim married his son’s mother in law, Susan Krohn.
Fayez Sarofim is known for his philanthropy and political donations. He is known to have contributed to the 4th largest professional ballet company in the US, Houston Ballet, and is a constant donor to the Museum of Fine Arts. He has also funded other institutions of art, including the Hobby Centre for Performing Arts, the Houston Symphony and the Houston Grand Opera among others. Sarofim also supports a number of treatment and research institutions including the University of Texas Health Science Centre, the Texas Children’s Hospital and Memorial Sloan–Kettering Cancer Centre, plus donating more than $120 million for the Fayez S. Sarofim Research Building. During the presidential elections, he was one of the contributors in support of the candidate Jeb Bush.
