Evan Goldberg Wiki Biography
Evan Goldberg was born on the 11th May 1982, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and is a Canadian-American film producer, director, and screenwriter, who is probably best recognized for directing such film titles as “Superbad” (2007), “Pineapple Express” (2008), and “This Is The End” (2013), among others. He is also known for his work on such TV series as “Preacher” (2016-present). His career has been active since 2004.
So, have you ever wondered how rich Evan Goldberg is? It has been estimated by authoritative sources that Evan counts his net worth at the amount of $20 million, as of mid- 2016. Most of his wealth is the result of his successful career in the film industry as a director, producer and screenwriter.
Evan Goldberg was raised in a Jewish family, spending his childhood time in Marpole. He went to Point Grey Secondary School, after which he enrolled at McGill University.
Right after graduation, Evan’s professional career began, as in 2004 he was hired to write for the TV series “Da Ali G Show” together with his long term friend Seth Rogen. Since then, his career has gone only upwards, and so has his net worth, as well as popularity. Thus, soon after his first major project came, when he became an executive producer of the 2007 film “Knocked Up”, which was followed by another film entitled “Superbad” in the same year.
In the following year, Evan wrote a screenplay for the comedy film “Pineapple Express”, for which he was an executive producer as well. It was followed by his next major work on the film “Funny People” (2009). As he and Seth Rogen were huge fans of the TV series “The Simpsons”, they heard that its producer James L. Brooks was a huge fan of their project “Superbad”, and they decided to ask him if they could write an episode. Thus, in 2010, they wrote the episode “Homer The Whopper”, for the 21st season. In 2011, Evan produced and wrote the screenplay for such film titles as “The Green Hornet”, “Goon”, and “50/50”, all of which added a lot to his net worth.
To speak further about his career, he created the trailer for “Jay And Seth Versus The Apocalypse”, which was later made under the name “This Is The End” and released in 2013, which was his directing debut, contributing further to his net worth. Evan was also an executive producer of the 2014 film “The Interview”, and the TV series “Preacher” (2016-present), “The Masterpiece” – which is currently in post-production and is set to be released in 2016 – and “Future Man”, which will be released in 2017.
Thanks to his accomplishments in the film industry, in 2008 Evan Goldberg won the Canadian Comedy Award in the category Best Writing in A Film for his work on “Superbad”, which he shared with Seth Rogen.
Speaking about his personal life, little is known about Evan Goldberg in the media, except that he has been married to Lisa Goldberg since 2012.

Evan Goldberg Quotes
- [on his controversial comedy ‘The Interview’] Obviously we knew North Koreans might not love every minute of it. To us, it’s like a big silly movie more than anything. I don’t think anybody should get bogged down thinking it’s a political movie, because it’s not.
- [observation, 2013] All my cousins are almost old enough to start seeing my movies. I’m going to have some ‘splainin’ to do.
- [on sidekicks and “The Green Hornet”] – We [Seth Rogen and himself] always thought the concept of the sidekick was the most offensive thing in the whole world. You’re both running and getting shot at and, like, Robin’s the sidekick? Why the hell is he the sidekick? He’s right in front of the gun too. That’s kind of what’s cool about the Green Hornet. They’re both badass, Kato looks a little cooler. They both kick ass, Kato kicks a little more. We had a sidekick movie planned and when it [“The Green Hornet”]came to us we just looked at each other and said, ‘This is it.’ … The sidekick just seemed like the perfect application of our buddy-comedy-sidekick male love story.
