Eugenie Bouchard Wiki Biography

Eugenie Bouchard, born on 25 February 1994, is a Canadian professional tennis player, who became famous when reaching the finals of Grand Slam singles at Wimbledon in 2014, becoming the first Canadian to ever do so.

So how much is Bouchard’s net worth? As of late 2016, it is reported to be $6 million acquired from her years as a professional tennis player, and from her various product endorsements.

Bouchard grew up in a family with her twin sister, Beatrice, who is older by six minutes, and two other siblings, Charlotte and William. Their parents are Michel Bouchard, an investment banker, and Julie Lecleir.

Bouchard’s love for tennis started when she was five, joining the Tennis National Training Centre in Montreal while studying at The Study School located in Westmount. At the age of 12, she and her mother moved to the United States for her to train under Coach Nick Saviano for three years.

At the age of 15, Bouchard returned to Montreal where she continued her training, and soon started qualifying for tennis competitions; as early as 2005, she had been competing in various age tournaments. She started making a name for herself in 2009, when she won the Canadian under-18 indoor championship, and later the Pan American Closed ITF Championship. Her early years in tennis helped her increase her wealth, and also her popularity in the sport.

Soon, Bouchard started entering international competitions, beating players like Zheng Saisai, Jessica Ginier, Sharon Fichman, Marie-Eve Pelletier, these small wins started increasing her net worth, and setting her up for the bigger competition she would soon join.

In 2012, after years of playing tennis, Bouchard became the first Canadian to win a Grand Slam in singles when she won the Junior Wimbledon title. The following year, she was named the WTA Newcomer of the Year, and in 2014 became the second Canadian to reach the Semifinals of a Grand Slam at the Australian Open, before reaching the final at Wimbledon. Her winning streak also helped in increasing her wealth and popularity.

In the last two years, however, her form has fallen away, resulting in her ranking slipping to outside the top 50, but at the age of 22 she still has time on her side to make an impact in the world of women’s tennisHer history-making victories also landed her a couple of product endorsements deal. Some of these products include Coca-Cola, Pinty’s, Rogers Communicatio, Babola, Nike and Aviva Canada. These endorsement deals also increased her net worth.

Today, Bouchard is still active in the world of professional tennis, currently ranking No. 51. Through time, she became known for her unique playing technique of hitting the ball early and making surprising changes in ball direction, startling her competition.

In terms of her personal life, Bouchard is still single, with no sign of a permanent relationship.
